This weekend was a fairly good one. C and I put up the Christmas tree and T helped me put up the Christmas lights. C had a friend over to play and T helped me peel and slice apples for an apple pie I'm baking. I got back to work on Monday (ugh!) and I thought I would bake an apple pie for my co-workers. I hope it turned out ok. Maybe I should cut a slice to make sure it is, but then it will look so lame with a slice taken out.
T and I had a very nice moment peeling and slicing apples together. It's kinda like the time when T was like 9 years old and I taught him how to make salsa and he helped me chop up all the tomatoes, onions, and chili peppers. He insisted on wearing goggles when he chopped up the onions...it was a nice bonding moment.
I'm so glad that our agency will be closed for two weeks during Christmas and New Years.
